Vicente Gonzalez was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and grew up in Prince George, Virginia. Coming from a very artistic family, Vicente cultivated his interest in art at a very young age. Although he studied some art in school, Vicente is largely self taught and influenced and inspired by such artists as Georges Seurat and Chuck Close.
Vicente studied theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University and has worked as an actor, director, and designer of theatrical productions.
Vicente opened his Manchester studio shortly after moving back to Virginia from Chicago. Currently he creates large scale abstract paintings and photographs.
